Author’s Note: In response to the COVID-19 stay-home order, I am replaying the entire Ace Attorney series, my all-time favorite story-driven games. (Highly recommend these games if you’re looking for investigative gameplay coupled with witty dialogue and charming character interactions!) I fondly recall playing the first Ace Attorney over 15 years ago, and how the game’s iconic character sprites inspired me to draw pages upon pages of fanart in an art-making frenzy. These silly games inspired me to chase my dreams of becoming an artist, and it’s been an absolute joy to revisit them.
