This was my first time attending the Creative Talent Network Expo (a huge networking event for the Animation Industry), and I found it to be quite overwhelming! I was relieved to run into some familiar Seattle faces, and had a great time dining with Claire Hummel, Justin Oaksford, and Bridget Underwood during my first night in town. (They were so sweet to invite me out! TwT)

The rest of the time I spent in awe at the absurd amount of talent on display. I’m overwhelmed, tired, and inspired, and I will definitely be back next year!

I'm incredibly excited to be a part of the Official Steven Universe / Adventure Time Exhibition, presented by Cartoon Network and Gallery Nucleus. I'm a huge fan of both shows, and Gallery Nucleus always curates such amazing exhibitions. If you're in the area, stop by for the opening night on August 9th from 7-9PM! Come for art, food, and a LIVE performance by Rebecca Sugar!

UPDATE 9/2014: This event was truly the highlight of my year - photos below! I had a wonderful time meeting so many talented artists at the Gallery Nucleus show, and I even got a private tour of Cartoon Network & Frederator Studios afterwards. HUGE thanks to Steven Sugar & Joe Johnston for the Cartoon Network tour, and to Eric Homan & Natasha Allegri at Frederator! You guys are an inspiration and I feel so fortunate to have had this opportunity!

After a few years away from the convention scene, I've decided to splurge for an Exhibitor's Booth at ECCC 2014, one of the largest conventions in the Pacific Northwest. I'm so excited to be a part of the Great Personality exhibition by Light Grey Art Lab! The amazing team over at LGAL created a visual novel dating game (that you can download and play for free here) using a collection of character sprites and backgrounds created by artists all over the world.

The show will be opening at Light Grey Art Lab on January 24, 7-10PM. I contributed a set of character sprites for Francesca, an adorable baker who you can read about here. If you end up playing the game, try to win her heart when you visit the bakery!

Urban Light Studios will be hosting an exhibition of over 45 local Seattle artists, vendors, and musicians during Greenwood's Artwalk (held on the 2nd Friday each month at Urban Light Studios). The show is a loving tribute to the life works of Hayao Miyazaki, famed Japanese animation director of Studio Ghibli.
