Post show write-up: I’m so relieved to be back in the convention scene after a rough 2016. Historically speaking, Rose City Comic Con has always been a solid and worthwhile show for me. Although this show yields less than half the sales of Emerald City Comic Con, I love Portland and the drive down is easy and quick. So this show will certainly remain on my list for years to come.
I was very happy to run into the amazing Cooper Dubois, one of the founders of DoubleDown Interactive who gave me my first studio art job! I also got to have dinner with my friends Grace, Hannako, Justin, Brittany, and Garrett on the last day of the show. It’s always so lovely to see everyone!
